ELANA M. GLOGER, PhD
I am a health psychologist who studies accelerated midlife aging through the lens of psychoneuroimmunology and am currently a ‘Population Neuroscience of Aging’ T32 Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh in the College of Public Health.
My program of research integrates longitudinal, mechanistic models of psychosocial, cognitive, and biological changes during midlife to better understand the rate and magnitude of accelerated aging when risk factors for poor aging may still be modifiable. I’m especially interested in how psychological stress during midlife contributes to accelerated biological aging as well as the cardiovascular and neurobiological mechanisms that explain these effects. I also have an interest in biological measurement and statistics. When I’m not doing research, I’m crocheting, playing Stardew Valley and Elden Ring, reading (a lot), & cuddling my cats.
I invite you to take a look at my publications, my CV, or my OSF pre-registrations for a better idea of my current projects and interests. Feel free to get in touch with me to discuss potential collaborations or employment opportunities: elana.gloger@pitt.edu
